-- Ali Brewer, Brown --
Defensive Player Of the Week
Ali Brewer, Brown
Ali Brewer has just come off the kind of weekend goalies dream about. While facing #3 Harvard and #4 Northeastern, Brewer led the Brown Bears to a 1-0-1 record, allowing just three goals to the two potent offenses. In a Satuday afternoon game, Brown tied Northeastern 1-1, and Brewer made 39 saves. On Sunday, Brown played host to Harvard, and Brewer backstopped the team to a 4-2 victory, stopping 46 shots. Brewer's weekend totals were 85 saves, three goals allowed, a 1-0-1 record, 0.966 saves percentage, and 1.44 goals against average.
Offensive Player Of the Week
Andrea Kilbourne, Princeton
This first-year sensation had three goals and two assists on the weekend, coming in a 6-3 victory over St. Lawrence Saturday and a 3-2 win over previously unbeaten Cornell on Sunday. In the St. Lawrence game she assisted on the first two goals and scored the game's final goal. In Sunday's 3-2 win, her second goal of the game at 12:26 of the third period was the game winner. Kilbourne is tied for the team lead in points at 11, and is scoring at a torrid 2.75 points per game pace. With the two wins, Princeton takes the early lead in the ECAC with a perfect 4-0-0 record.
